EXPERIENCES
Upon prior arrangements, we offer in-house relaxing single and couple massages with natural oils as well as reiki sessions by our colleagues from Raizen, a holistic therapy clinic in Lourinhã. Should you be interested in additional treatments, such as facials, rejuvenation treatments, aura readings, and other naturopathic treatments, you may contact Alexandra, Raizen´s founder, at raizengeral@gmail.com
Portugal is a mecca for surfing all year-round. If you´re interested in taking some lessons during your visit, our friends from Drop-In Surf Camp would love to teach you at Areal Beach (only 15 minutes from the Quinta). Please visit their sites for more info and/or email Dani at info@dropinportugal.com.
Visit the traditional mill from where the corn and wheat flour used for our breads and cakes come!
Take a fascinating private guided tour and/or a 4-hour bread making workshop and tasting, including a light fare with your own freshly made bread, local jams and cheese, as well as refreshments, including wine at the Moinho do Boneco. Both are led by Fátima Nunes, who inherited the beautiful windmill from her ancestors and preserves it in operation out of the passion to keep tradition and the know-how alive.
Locally grown, non-GMO wheat and corn cereals are stone ground here, producing flour that is healthier because the slow grinding process ensures that the germ and bran are retained in the final product (versus being separated as in the case with mass-produced roller flours).
Fatima will be delighted to show and explain the original, slow milling process as well as its benefits as much as the incredible historic engineering behind it. The Moinho do Boneco mill is only 13 minutes from the Quinta. Please contact us for more information.
